Car Wrap |
Car wrap or vehicle wraps involve the marketing practice of completely or
partially covering a vehicle in advertisement which results in the formation of
a mobile billboard. Car wrap or vehicle wraps have been used since the
time automobiles were invented however they become popular from 1900s. For
advertising in early times the original choice was to paint the automobiles and
by 1950s or 1960s vinyl chloride wraps began to be used. Vinyl is a versatile
material which is used in a long list of day to day products. In the 21st
century due to the development of modern technology the equipments for printing
on vinyl became available to companies and the designs became more intricate
and eye catching leading to the invention of vinyl wrap.
Today the designing,
printing and installation of vinyl wraps is a process which requires training
and gaining experience in the field. A graphic designer first makes the draft
of the designs with the help of a computer after discussions with the clients.
After this the graphic artist and installation staff work to create individual
panels that will create a wrap which appears seamless. The panel seams are
carefully matched with the door gaps and extra overlap is added for curves.
Finally the wrap is printed and is ready for use. The vehicle must be properly
cleaned with isopropyl alcohol to remove any dirt or grease prior to wrap
installation. It takes about one to three days to install the wrap and it is
further allowed to set for a day or two. The wraps can be used to convey a
message or to advertise about a company and its services. Wraps are now very
popular and will continue to be so in the near future. For more information on car wrap or vehicle wraps in Melbourne
